David Lyn Robbins, 68, born on November 22, 1956, passed away on December 2, 2024, in Abilene, Texas. He is a cherished member of his family, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, warmth, and a spirited enthusiasm for life.
David was born in Dallas, Texas, the son of Joyce Bisbee and Jimmy Dale Robbins. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought him joy and connection with others. He was actively involved in the Special Olympics, demonstrating his passion for sports. His work experiences across different places provided him with opportunities to forge friendships and share his positive spirit. Among his many interests, he loved walking, dancing, and playing Bingo and bowling any chance he could. He loved to listen to country music and watch the Dallas Cowboys play football. Most of all David cherished every moment with his loving family.
David is survived by his devoted mother, Joyce Morgan; his sisters, Tonya Robbins and Regina Gonzales, along with her husband Albert (Mo); and his beloved niece and nephew Jeremy Gonzales and his wife Christina, Mellanie Robinson and her husband Chad, as well as his great-niece Tinsley Robinson and great-nephew Zyler Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, father, Jimmy Robbins, step-father Billy George Morgan, his brother Terry Robbins, and brother-in-law Grabiel Rodriguez.
A Celebration of Life honoring David Lyn Robbins will take place on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Baird Activity Center (Baird Light Plant), located at 208 Walnut St., Baird, Texas 79504. This gathering is a chance for those who love David to remember and celebrate the joy he brought into their lives.
David will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
