Edith Laraine Thomas

Edith Laraine Thomas, 63, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on September 27, 2023 in Abilene Texas. Edith was adopted by Wayne Lee and Bobbie Francis Pierce in Jackson Michigan. Edith better known as “Rain” was not shy to say what was on her mind. She loved hard, and fought even harder. She was not easily persuaded, and she stood her ground on her beliefs. She was always an ear to listen, and could spend hours talking if you had the time. Those in need knew that Rain would be doors wide open anytime of the day. Rain was preceded in death by Bobbie Francis Pierce, Wayne Lee Pierce, and granddaughter Kulani Marie Martin. Rain is survived by daughter Vera Michelle Soto, Daughter Nicole Thomas, Son Robert Thomas III, and 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grand children. A celebration of life with be determined at a later date. A special thank you to Nurse Drew at Hendricks ICU, and all the wonderful nurses from Hendrick Hospice Care.
