Glenn Bryan Wiggins, 57, of Hawley, died at home on Saturday, August 31, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Glenn was born premature in Anson to Glenda and the late Glenn Paul Wiggins, he graduated from Anson High School and began working at age 17. Glenn was initially employed in the oil field but eventually transitioned to maintenance mechanic at Mrs. Baird’s Pie Shop and lastly AbiMar Foods. Glenn was married to his soulmate, Andria, for 37 years and they had two sons. He loved his family and treasured the time they spent together. Glenn liked to keep busy doing a wide range of things such as (to name a few): piddling around in his shop, working on cars, keeping up the home, tending to the goats, geocaching, fishing, traveling, and the list goes on…
Glenn is survived by his wife, Andria (Ripke) Wiggins; his mother, Glenda (Young) Wiggins; his sons, Glenn Wayne Wiggins and Jacob (Izabell) Wiggins; his granddaughter, Charlotte Wiggins; bonus kids, Luke Walker, Laura Walker, Natalie Walker and David Ashwander; his brothers, Shon (Linda) Wiggins and Billy (Jamalea) Wiggins; his trusted side-kick, Maui; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and in-laws.
Throughout his three-year battle with cancer, Glenn fought bravely, stubbornly and with grace, all while doing his best to conceal the pain, but always managed to maintain his wonderful sense of humor. He truly is an example of strength; Glenn came into this world having to fight for life and left it in the same manner.
A sincere thank you to family, friends, co-workers (especially those at AbiMar and Absslc), and acquaintances who reached out, prayed, visited, dropped off food, etc: your kindness and support were, and continue to be, very much appreciated.
