Patty Ruth Andrews

It is with great sadness that the family of Patty Crain Andrews announce her passing January 26, 2025, at the age of 90.

Patty was born November 24, 1934 to Durwood W. and Lorene Crain, in Abilene, TX.  She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband of 53 years, Alan Andrews; and brothers Kyle and  Dub (Mary Francis) Crain. Patty is survived by her daughter Traci Bradford (Dewain) of Merkel, TX; son Brett Andrews (Leigh Ann) of McCalla, AL; granddaughter Mychelle Montoya (Juan) of Kermit, TX; Jennifer Andrews (Mike) of Merkel, TX;  grandson Zachary Andrews (Victoria) of Kermit, TX;  granddaughter Sharadyn Romo (Christopher) of Lawn, TX; grandson Hunter Andrews (Vaan) of Abilene, TX; great grandchildren: Mia, Miguel, Lolita; Bailey, Gracie, Kylee; Riverlynn; Ava, Juliet, Sharlotte, Paislea;  Evelyn, Elliot, Damian, and Amelia; Sister in law Robbie Crain; nieces and nephews. 

Patty graduated from Abilene High School in 1951. She then went on to earn her bachelors from Abilene Christian College and finished with her Masters of Music from Texas Tech where she went into teaching school.  Patty had a passion for music and her faith in God, being a very devout Christian.  She found joy through worship and volunteering at the church.  Patty enjoyed playing the piano by ear, allowing her to play about any tune, with jazz being on her favorite list, primarily Frank Sinatra.  

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00 at the Merkel Church of Christ, 700 Ash St, Merkel, TX  79536.
