Phyllis Renee Briscoe, a lifelong resident of Hamlin, Texas, was born on August 21, 1958, to Mary Green and Clifford Green. She departed this life on January 11, 2025, in the same community she cherished so deeply.
Phyllis' career spanned various roles, reflecting her adaptable spirit and strong work ethic. She was known to many as a skillful beautician, where she not only enhanced beauty but also brightened the days of her clients with her vibrant personality. Her dedication continued at the wallboard plant at Celotex and as a cashier at Lawrence Brothers supermarket, where she built lasting connections with colleagues and customers alike.
A woman of authenticity, Phyllis was outspoken and direct, ensuring that those around her always knew exactly where they stood with her. This characteristic endeared her to many and contributed to the rich tapestry of friendships she cultivated over the years. She leaves behind numerous friends who fondly remember her directness and warmth.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Jo Steinbach of Sweetwater, Texas; her son, Brady Floyd Briscoe of Abilene, Texas; two granddaughters, Tori Steinbach of Sweetwater, Texas, and Addison Steinbach of Hamlin; and her great-granddaughter, Saige Wass. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers, Allen Green and his wife Dianne of Hamlin, and Ronnie Green and his wife Karalee of Blackwell, Texas, along with her sister Michael Hertel and her husband Gary of Hamlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Green and Clifford Green, as well as her spouse, Jerry Briscoe.
Phyllis Renee Briscoe's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, honesty, and a spirited approach to life will live on through her family and the cherished memories held dear by her many friends.
