Rickey Don Seigler

Rickey Don Seigler, 68, of Abilene, passed away on January 22, 2024, in Abilene, TX. Rickey was born in Paducah, TX, to Rita June (Townley) and Bobby Frank Seigler on February 25, 1955. He was raised in Paducah, TX and graduated from Paducah High School in 1973. In 1977, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agribusiness from Tarleton State University. While there, he was a member of The Student Senate Organization, where he served as President his senior year. Rickey worked in the Ag Industry for many years. At Bigham Brothers Mfg in Lubbock, he designed, and built, several pieces of farm equipment for their production line; of which, he was a Supervisor. With The Federal Land Bank in Lubbock, he served as a Loan Officer to countless farmers. Later, he became an Insurance Adjuster for Texas Farm Bureau, and then Allstate. As a young man, his Granddaddy, Alvis Townley, was instrumental in Rickey’s success while participating in numerous Horse Shows. He enjoyed barrel racing, roping, leatherwork, working on vehicles, motorcycle trips with friends, and he loved to dance. Dearest to his heart were his two sons, Reese Seigler and Hunter Seigler, and his 3 grandchildren, who were blessed to call him “Pops”… Caden, Chloe and Kaylee Jane Seigler. He was preceded in death by his parents. Rickey is survived by his two sons, Reese Seigler of Plano, Hunter Seigler (Mary Elise), three grandchildren, Caden, Chloe and Kaylee Seigler of Midland. He is also survived by his sister, Pam (Nolan) Reynolds, along with many relatives and friends who loved him very much. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have been a part of his life. A visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, March 1 at First Baptist Church of Paducah in the Sanctuary. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 2nd at First Baptist Church of Paducah in the Sanctuary with Pastor Roy C. Keith officiating. An 11:00 am Graveside Service will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Paducah. All services are under the direction of West Central Texas Cremation and Zapata Funeral Home.
