Sandy Fenn a recent resident of Hawley Texas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 25, just four days shy of her 71st birthday. She was born in Hidalgo county to Gene Newton Phillips and Ruth Helen Killion. When Sandy was a very young girl her father remarried to Charlene
Graef who raised Sandy as her own along with two older brothers. Additionally she had one younger sister & three younger brothers. Sandy grew up in Clovis NM and never lived too far away from there. In November of 2022, Sandy decided to move in with her daughter and son-in-law in Hawley Texas, where she lived out her remaining days and really enjoyed the good old country farm life where she enjoyed the privacy and most of all the animals.
Sandy is survived by one son, William Frank Daugherty II (wife Cynthia) of Marfa Tx, a daughter, Tesha LaDon Payne (husband Tony) of Hawley Tx, 4 brothers; Jerry (wife Dena) of Plainview Tx. Bobby (wife Suzanne) of Amarillo Tx, Chuck (wife Debbie) of Amarillo Tx, Steven of Clovis NM and a sister-in-law Debby Phillips of Clovis NM. Sandy has 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Gene Phillips, Mother Helen Killion, bonus mother Charlene Phillips, brother Derek Phillips, sister Bedena Williams, grandparents Albert & Hazel Phillips, Charlie & Edith Graef, one husband Ed Davis & a nephew sweet baby Cade.
There will be a memorial in Clovis NM at a later date, where her friends and family can gather to remember her.
