Sarah Marie Islas

Sarah Marie Islas, 48, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 27th, 2024 surrounded by her immediate family in Abilene, TX. 

Sarah was born August 23rd, 1976, to Dora Islas-Sanchez, in Ballinger, Texas. 

Sarah enjoyed life and she loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving Sister, Grandmother and Aunt by her family. Sarah loved to watch her grandson Jadyn play football and she loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys. She loved to dance and listen to music with her family on the weekends. She was a member of St Mary Star of the Sea Church in Ballinger, TX. Sarah was full of life and would help anyone in need. She is going to be greatly missed by her family. 

She is preceded in death by her mother Dora Islas-Sanchez, and grandparents Perfecto and Abelia Solis Islas; from who she was raised by. Her uncles, Juan Islas and Robert Islas and Aunt Gloria Islas Solíz ; nephew Stephen Joe Islas and cousin Robert Flores Jr. 

Sarah is survived by her three children; Jordan Islas and Kamri of Abilene, Texas, Savannah Torres and fiancé Johnny Webb of Marks Mississippi, Jaslyn Torres and Jimmy of Abilene, Texas; sisters, Rebecca Lopez and husband Guadalupe , Rachel Islas, Melanie Beimer, Christy Islas of Abilene, Texas, and brother Randy Islas of Ballinger, Texas, Aunt Irma Islas Riggs and husband Garland of Hamilton, Texas; and her 9 grandchildren  Jeremih and Jaxston Islas of San Angelo, Jadyn, Kyrie ,Keegan Islas , Amir of Abilene, granddaughters Jalysa and Jaliah Webb of Marks, MS and Loyalty Douglas of Ft Worth. Nephews Xavier and Steven Islas, and Darian Tanner of Abilene, Nieces Brittany Islas of Abilene, Nadiah Islas of Miles, TX and Olivia Islas of Hamilton, TX. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from Robstown TX, Austin TX, Hamilton TX, and Gatesville TX area. 

A private burial will be held for Sarah at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hendrick Hospice Care of Abilene Tx. 

The family wishes to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers as well as Hendrick Hospice Heath Care of Abilene for taking such good care of Sarah.
