Tina Marie Campbell

November 22, 1970 — April 2, 2025

Tina Marie Campbell, 54, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, in Abilene, Texas. Born on November 22, 1970, in Madisonville, Kentucky, Tina lived a life marked by deep faith, intellectual curiosity, and heartfelt compassion.

Tina was the beloved daughter of Beverly Ann Ford and Walter Ray Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her uncle, William Byrns Ford, Jr.; her grandparents William Byrns Ford, Sr., Edythe Farrar Ford, William Thomas Campbell Sr., and Pauline Rose Campbell. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Jana Campbell; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished her presence in their lives.

A bright student from an early age, Tina graduated from Berkmar High School where she was a proud member of the Beta Club and the National Honor Society. Her academic excellence led her to the University of Georgia where she pursued a major in Pharmacy. Her love for learning extended far beyond the classroom—she had an insatiable appetite for reading that spanned from Bible studies to science fiction novels and history books to science textbooks.

Tina’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted Christian and member of New Hope Assemblies of God in Abilene, she found joy and purpose in worshiping God and serving Him with all her heart. Her Pentecostal roots within the Assemblies of God tradition shaped not only her spiritual walk but also how she treated others—with kindness, generosity, and unwavering compassion.

Those who knew Tina will remember her as a woman with a generous heart and a deep love for both people and animals. She found comfort and companionship in the pets she welcomed into her home over the years—both dogs and cats held special places in her heart.

Tina’s hobbies reflected both creativity and intellect. She enjoyed singing—often lifting her voice in worship—and listening to music that stirred the soul. She spent countless hours immersed in crafts such as embroidery and working with yarn on plastic canvas projects. Board games brought out her playful side; Monopoly was among her favorites. Whether solving jigsaw puzzles or playing computer games with friends or family members, Tina delighted in shared moments of fun.

She also treasured time spent with loved ones—family gatherings were especially meaningful to her. Her warmth made those around her feel seen and valued.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Hendrick Hospice Care for their compassionate support during Tina’s final days. Their kindness brought comfort during a difficult time.

A memorial service celebrating Tina’s life will be held at New Hope Assemblies of God Church in Abilene at a later date.
