Venna Kay Kirby, 77, of Anson TX, passed away on April 25th 2023 at her home in Anson tx. Kirby was born in Grand Forks, ND to Alton Kirby & Dorthy Wall on December 10th 1946. She graduated high school in midland tx. She worked as a Counselor with the department of Justice, federal bureau of prisons for 15 years, then visitation with TDCJ for 13 years 9 months.
She was a Vietnam era veteran and served in the marines as a Sgt for 5 years and was awarded Rifle Expert Badge, National Defense Sercice Medal, Good Conduct Medal, & Letter of Appreciation. She also received a Letter of Appreciation from the U.S. Army Reserves for her time of service, and a Federal Employee of the Year Technical Runner Up award during her time with the federal prison system. Kirby was preceded in death by her mother & father Dorothy & Alton, brother Wayne, & Sister Pat, & her childeren ( fur babies ) pretty boy & tiger.

Cherokee, Lil Bit, Pup, Girl, Dakota, Cheyenne, Stinky, Tux, Jr, Lil One, Lil blue, Bodayo, Lillyana, & Bradley.
TDCJ family, close friends Chris & Brent, Uncle Don Kirby, 2 Cousins Shelly Jewel, & Carrol Sutherland. Services & Burial will be held May 15th 11:00am at Texas State VA cemetery 7457 W lake rd.
